A traditional Anglican service in the Modern Catholic tradition. The service has a combination of prayers, hymns, Bible readings, a sermon with Holy Communion.
We use Common Worship for our liturgy and refreshments are served afterwards
All Baptised Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion. Fr Alasdair our Priest will also regularly pray with those who are sick for healing.
1st & 3rd Sunday of the Month
Franky’s Cafe Church
This is a very informal service which begins at 11:00am with a cooked breakfast and chatting together.
This is then followed by a very short interactive service for all ages to participate in. It usually involves a craft activity and children are encouraged to take part in all parts especially prayers, Bible readings and the teaching story.
Normally at this service we invite parents and Godparents to come with their children as a place of regular worship and to live out their Baptism Commitments. Baptism preparation follows this service
The 3rd Sunday of the month from 11:00 to 11:45am is our Franky's Cafe Church Baptism and service of Holy Communion. This service has a bit more structure and takes its liturgy from the most modern services in the Church of England. Everyone who is a baptised Christian is invited to take part in the Communion Service.
On Thursday mornings at the Vicarage we meet for an hour for coffee or tea and a Bible Study
This short service of Holy Communion uses aspects of Franciscan spirituality in a setting of Holy Communion. So be ready for sung liturgy, incense, silence and prayers at the Cross. The sermon is usually on a Franciscan theme. This service is open to all.
